Civil Engineer / Construction Engineer for India
For our market entry into India we are looking for a Civil Engineer / Construction Engineer for India.
Objective of the position
Support of our market entry into India in close co-operation with and supported by our engineering team in Europe as well as the commercial project team in India. In this function you will be reporting directly to the Technical Managing Director of our Indian organization.Your tasks
- To ensure efficient project planning and execution during our plant construction and ramp up
- To facilitate product development (hollow blocks, bricks and accessories)
- To support our technical sales team with advise on how to construct
- To support training of Indian builders / masons
Your qualifications / Your profile
- Degree in civil or construction engineering
- At least ten years of experience in the Indian construction / building (residential / commercial) or building materials industry (clay or concrete based)
- Practical experience of applicable Indian standards (IS norms, BMTPC)
- Excellent know-how of project planning, cost accounting and project execution
- Practical know-how of CAD and related software products
- Research or academic background (related to building materials) a plus
- Sound understanding of architectural trends welcome
- Excellent command of English and Hindi, Kannada a plus
- Strong entrepreneurial attitude and readiness to act on own initiative
- Dynamic, assertive and integrative personality
- Willingness to travel frequently within South India
