In 1962 Cérame-Unie was established in Brussels as the common mouthpiece of the European ceramics industries.
It thus represents the interests of the industry at the European level for more than a generation. Cérame-Unie has expanded the scope of its activities in tune with the intensification of the European integration process. It now deals with issues ranging from international trade policy through the liberalisation of natural gas markets and the prevention of pollution to health and safety policies
