Wienerberger acquisition of Arriscraft approved by unitholders

- Approval of acquisition by Arriscraft unitholders with a vote of 87%
- Closing expected on July 20, 2007
Vienna, July 18, 2007 - General Shale, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wienerberger AG, the world's largest producer of bricks and the number two in clay roof tiles in Europe, is pleased to announce that the acquisition of 100 % of the operational entities of Arriscraft International Income Fund, a leading Canadian producer of manufactured stone, has been approved by the Arriscraft unitholders. Following the agreement from May 27, 2007, the Fund's unitholders have overwhelmingly approved the transaction in a special meeting on July 17, 2007 with a vote of approximately 87% of the voting unitholders at the meeting. The acquisition is expected to close on July 20, 2007. Subsequently, the façade specialist will be fully consolidated within the Wienerberger Group.
Quick integration expected
